Happy 20th Anniversary, Nonni and Papa!

We had a very exciting day yesterday! Papa had a great idea about 2 weeks ago to surprise Nonni with an anniversary celebration. It's more than just an anniversary of a marriage...it's an anniversary of a family! We all went to Greencroft and were waiting outside when Papa drove Nonni up to the door...we knew we were successful when Nonni's mouth dropped open and she started crying. :)

Here I am in my carseat (that has to be relaced very soon) on the way to the big surprise. Do you like my button-up and sweater vest? My Nana and Grandpa got it for me. It's size 18 months. Don't judge.

Here we all are!

Here I am with Nonni. Doesn't she look beautiful?

That's the whole group...in a very special place. Did you know that this is where my parents got married? And Aunt Katie? And Cousin Annie? We've made a lot of memories there (and eaten a lot of tasty food...)

Here I am with Daddy. He snuck me a taste of whipped cream when Mommy wasn't looking.

Here I am with Papa (or Mr. President, as they call him there).

Before you look at the picture below, Mommy would like me to tell you that it was a tad humid (in her opinion), and that's why Mommy and Aunt Wubby's hair was plastered to their heads. Can we talk to the President about cranking up the air conditioning?

Mommy and Daddy said that I behaved very nicely. I ate squash like a crazy man and didn't cry a bit. Here I am with the special couple:

Aunt Beanie and Uncle Jeff:

Aunt Katie and Uncle Dan:

Aunt Ali and Uncle Van (and baby Elias, who is still an "inside baby"):

I think my cousin Elias was causing a ruckus! I can't wait until he arrives so we can cause a ruckus together! :)

Happy Anniversary, Nonni and Papa! Mommy says thanks for making us a family! We love you so much!

Laughing!

My mom's mission in life is to make me belly laugh...she thinks it's so funny. Here's a small glimpse of me laughing. Every time she gets out the camera, I get more interested in the electronics and stop doing what she's trying to catch on film. You can't blame me for my interest in all things electronic/technological...you know who my Daddy is!

On Friday, I had my 6 month appointment. I'm now 19 pounds, 9 ounces and 27 inches long. That's the 80th percentile for weight and 70th for height! I grew 2.25 inches and 3.5 pounds in two months! I've been working very hard at growing. We don't go back for another appointment until I'm 9 months old...by then I may be eating steak and trying to find an agent for the draft. The sumo wresting draft, that is.

Exciting Spring!

Hello! I've had a very exciting spring so far. I've started to eat baby food, and I love it! I make a big mess, but I have a lot of fun doing it. I'm not proud of it, but I do yell at mom if she doesn't get it in my gaping mouth fast enough! You know, behavioral conditioning. She'll learn eventually if I'm consistent with her.

Here's a shot my Aunt Beanie took at Easter that mom wanted to share:

Here I am drinking out of my sippy cup for the first time. When I say "drinking," I mean chewing on the top and occasionally getting something out of it.

Here I am playing with my Daddy. We wrestle and snuggle...it's one of my favorite things to do! Sometimes I get a little excited and accidentally scratch during the match. Watch out for my raptor claws.

I don't know if you heard, but my Daddy started playing in a full-contact flag football league. It's no joke. I had a good time with my Aunt Wubby and Beanie (and Mommy) at the game. I got all dressed up in my Redskins outfit (my Chris Cooley jersey), but they didn't sub me in. We won our first game, and Mommy said we were all winners because no one had to go to the ER.

My favorite toy right now is my mini football!

With my Aunt Wubby at the game:

Can you believe that I leave this hat on?

Me and Daddy after the game:

I played my first game of golf on my 6 month birthday (4-20-10). It was a gorgeous day at Old Trail! The first time I saw my Daddy take a swing with my driver I laughed out loud -- twice! Uncle Steve heard me and I thought he was going to fall on the ground laughing.

Here I am with Uncle Steve and Daddy:
Here I am on the course. Yes, I'm sitting up by myself now! I occasionally tip over (Daddy said something about a big melon), but I'm getting very good at it.

You're away. (The two worst words in golf.)
Me and Mommy in the cart. I loved driving around...the wind made me catch my breath! I've got Uncle Steve's golf club here, and I'm contemplating showing him and my Daddy how it's done.
Tomorrow we go for my 6 month check-up. Unfortunately, we get more shots, but I'll get to show off my fantastic guns again for my nurses. :) See you soon!

More Musical Education

Hi there! My Aunt Wubby, not to be outdone by Aunt Katie, recently added to my musical repertoire. We had so much fun dancing around the kitchen! I'm so lucky to have such talented Aunties! :)

Happy Easter!

Hey everyone! Happy Easter! Here I am, starting my day off with some yummy rice cereal before church.

Here I am at church with my buddies in the nursery:

Here I am at Nonni and Papa's house. My Pa (Barnett) got me the "Pat the Bunny" book for Easter, so Nonni and Papa got me the stuffed bunny to go along with it!

Here I am, showing off my Easter outfit. Nonni said that I was the perfect Southern gentleman in my blue and white seersucker!

Check out my Easter bib from Aunt Nicki and Uncle Marcus:

Here I am goofing around with Uncle Dan:
Quick wardrobe change! Thank goodness Nana and Grandpa had gotten me this:
Doing some pull-ups on the lamp outside Nonni and Papa's house...why can't a guy work out in peace?
Here I am with my parents:

The hens, minus my cousin on the way in Aunt Ali's tummy:

The men-folk:

My Aunt Katie came to my house and hung out with me the day after Easter. We sang songs, listened to Mozart, and played with Nonni. My Aunt Katie is a music teacher, and she had a lot of material to go over with me. In the video, she put a silly hat on me and had me dance around. Here is a clip of my (mis)education:

O-H! I-O!

Hey everyone! I just took my first plane ride to meet my Muzzy and Pop Pop (Pa Barnett's mom and Dad). It was so much fun! Here I am looking out the window of the plane:

And here I am with Mommy, sleeping away:

When we got to Columbus, Muzzy and Pop Pop picked us up. It had snowed 3 inches overnight, but Mommy and I are used to that. The whole weekend we just hung out and got to know each other. Here I am with Mommy and Pa:

With Muzzy, Pop Pop and Mommy:

I decided that I had a lot to tell Muzzy and Pop Pop, so I blabbered the entire time I was there with them. They couldn't get me to stop because I was having so much fun. Here I am talking with Pa:

This is Deana, my new girlfriend. OK, she's actually Pa's wife, but I tried. :) They got married the weekend before and flew in from their honeymoon to hang out with me. Thanks, guys...and congrats, newlyweds!

Watching basketball with Pop Pop:

Here's the "Peanut" shirt Aunt Ali got me:

Happy and chatty:
I love to snuggle...but watch out, because I'll bite your cheek, chin or nose if it gets close. A lesson learned by Aunt Wubby recently...

I love to be naked!

Snuggling Pop Pop:
Snuggling Muzzy:
We read lots of books while we were there:

And we ate a lot of tasty food!

And we took naps together:

Muzzy and Pop Pop, thank you for such a wonderful weekend! We made so many great memories! Can't wait to see you again soon! I love you so much!
