Occasions to Celebrate!

We have lots of things that need to be celebrated that Mom is trying to catch up on. I like to try and tell people how I feel, but I need a little help with cue cards. Unfortunately, one of my favorite things to do right now is eat paper, so bear with me as I attempt to express myself:

I'm ready. OK, not quite...

Let's try again...

I've got it! :) One week ago was my Aunt Katie's Birthday...I love you, Aunt Katie!

Happy Birthday, Pa (Grandpa Barnett)! Today's your birthday! I love you!

Aunt Beanie and Wubby ran a half marathon on Sunday...way to go, guys! You're amazing! All your hard work paid off!

Happy birthday yesterday, Nick! We love you! Mommy can't believe how old you are!

OK, now back to playing.

Don't forget to check out the 2 other posts Mommy did today (3 in all)! We've been busy catching you up! Love to all!

Aunt Nicki's Shower

I got to go to my Aunt Nicki's baby shower this weekend! We had a blast! It was like a family reunion with lots of presents. Aunt Nicki and Baby Burnett are set! :)

My May (so far)

Hi there! My mom wants me to tell you that she's sorry it's been so long since the last post. She claims that she's been busy, but we all know it's no excuse for taking this long.

Let me bring you up to speed. We've been very focused on eating recently. So far I've been introduced to applesauce, pears, bananas, green beans, peas, squash and carrots. I have not met a food I don't like...and that I don't like shoveled into my mouth at lightening speed. Mommy and I have had lots of fun making my baby food, save one tiny detail. I hate the blender. I wig out when it is turned on, even when Mommy or Daddy are holding me. Mommy has resorted to taking the blender into the laundry room and closing the door when it's time to use it. She says we'll try again next week.

Here I am with Daddy hanging out. We're best buddies.

Can I have some of your cereal?

When I say I'm eating everything in sight, I mean it!

I'm a very happy boy!

Papa's favorite vegetable is peas, so Mom thought it would be a good idea to have him feed me my first bite of the famed veggie. Here's how it went:

I love them! Nonni and Papa even got me a t-shirt that says, "Give peas a chance."

Do you see how my hair is slicked back? Nonni calls it "Sunday School Hair." I told her that in my Sunday School, kids have their hair spiked, but she likes this better.

Can you see how happy green beans make me? You're witnessing my first bite of them here:

Messes are fun!

With all that I'm eating these days, my diapers have gotten pretty challenging. Dad has started calling them "Mr. T. poos." Why? Because I pity the fool who has to change them. I thought Mommy might never start breathing again when Daddy dropped that gem on her because she was laughing so hard!

More later!
