Valentine's Day Reunion

If you know my family, you know that we love to get together to eat, drink and hang out. We really enjoy each other! My Mom's cousin, Annie, and her family live in New York (a very glamorous life), so this was the first time I got to meet them. I love my cousins! Lars, Annie's husband is a little camera shy, but Mom got some shots with Annie and her kids, Law and Stevie.

Here I am with Annie:

Here's my Dad with Law and Stevie:

All 3 of us hanging out in the big red chair:

With Great-Grandma Robinson...doesn't she look smashing in her pearls?

My legs used to fit inside this blanket's pocket, but not anymore...

The beautiful Nadig ladies...and yes, they are wearing matching shirts:

With my Aunt Terry:

I really like to sit up now. The bumbo chair is perfect for me. This is what my Mom likes to call my "Snoop Duncan" pose. "Laid back...with my mind on my milk and my milk on my mind."

Here I am in my bouncy seat:

Here I am with my Dad:

Mom thinks that I look like my cousin-in-law, Joshua, in this photo...what do you think? (See my Aunt Robin's recent post for a comparison: Robin's Song: Joshua. Oh Joshua.)

So, remember back before I was born when my Mom and Dad couldn't agree on a name? My mom's friend, Shannon suggested that since my Dad is Irish and American Indian, my name should be "Stands with Fists O'Shaugnessy." Well, here I am.

My Mom has been wondering why I've been accidentally pushing away my milk supply while nursing...here's the answer. When Mom and I aren't together, I take a bottle filled with breastmilk, and now I've become determined to hold it myself. I'm trying to do the same thing while nursing, but it just doesn't work quite the same way. Mom has to swaddle me to keep my hands from messing up the eating process. I haven't quite figured out how to get my hands to do what I want them to do at all times....especially when I'm tired.

More updates...I continue to teethe, and Nonni says that she sees them trying to poke through on the bottom. Mom just thinks they look like gums. We'll see how long they take to make their appearance.

Mom continues to make me do 10 minutes of tummy time a day -- she's so mean. I used to roll over as soon as she put me there, so she started to put pillows on my sides. I mean it when I say that I don't like tummy time, so last week I figured out how to scoot backwards off of the tummy time mat. Take that, Mom. I'm going to get out of it one way or another. Here I am on said mat:
