I'm Dedicated

I don't know if you heard, but I'm dedicated. Dedicated to eating, snuggling, laughing, smiling. But as of Sunday, I'm officially dedicated to the Lord! :) Of course, my parents already dedicated themselves to raising me that way, but on Sunday at church, we had my official dedication ceremony. I had a lot of family and friends come to be with me. It was very special for me and my parents.

Here I am with my aunts and my great-grandparents, Muzzy and Pop Pop. They drove all the way from Ohio for the occasion.

It was so much fun to hang out with everyone on such a meaningful day! Thank you to everyone who came! Mom can't figure out how some people escaped without having pictures taken: Aunt Pam (Sprouse), Auntie A (Mary Allison) and Uncle Ben, Uncle Van. How did you guys do that? :) Thank you for coming! We love you!

One of my other favorite things to do right now is drink water through a straw. If you let me, I'll drink your whole glass.


Later that day, I popped my first tooth through my gums! It was a big day for me. Here's Mommy's attempt at a picture of the tooth:

Mommy says my pincer grasp is developing. I don't know what that means, but I know I can pick up small things and put them in my mouth! Mommy got me some Platinum Puffs (that's what she calls the baby puffs she got me; you'll have to ask her why); I'm getting better all the time at putting them into my mouth. She also got me some Biter Biscuits, which I wasn't supposed to be able to bite through on the very first bite, but I did! Mommy jumped across the room to keep me from choking on the big piece in my mouth...she said something about faulty advertising. Now I know to gnaw on it, and I make an awesome mess as it dissolves.

Mommy says that I'm growing up too fast, but I sure am having fun doing it!
