April 2012

Hi everyone!  This was our April...we'll start off with our Easter celebrations.  I got to have two Easters!  I actually got to have three Easter egg hunts, though.  My first egg hunt was at Chick-fil-a in Waynesboro.  They hid eggs for us in the play area!  At first I didn't really know what was going on, but I figured it out quickly after I opened up my first egg and it had candy in it.

My first Easter was on Saturday, with Nana and Grandpa.  We had an egg hunt in the back yard.  They were pretty tricky with hiding the eggs, but Nana helped me find them!

Here is Grandpa hanging out with Whit.  Next year I'll have more competition with eggs.
I think everyone had a good time!  Mommy made a ham (her first time at an Easter ham), and we had a big celebration dinner.

Nana taught Mommy how to make a bunny cake.  It's a tradition for Daddy's family.  I had fun helping/eating as much candy as I could sneak into my mouth.
Here I am, taste-tasting the eclair cake:
Nana got me and Whit Easter outfits.  You'll see us in the whole outfit in a minute, but here's Whit in the hat:
He's better with hats than I am.  I just tear them off as soon as they are put on my head.
Man, did I get an awesome Easter basket!

Here we are at Easter #2, with Nonni, Papa, and my aunts and uncles.  I don't know who did this to Whit.
Nonni and Papa with their little men:
 Who did this to me?
The only way I would keep my hat on was if Aunt Ali gave me a marshmallow Peep.  You can see it in this picture.  Mom wasn't happy about that.  She was fine with the sugar...not with the picture being ruined by the florescent green Peep.

Mom and the Aunts...Aunt Katie and Uncle Dan were on a cruise.  Yeah, I didn't feel bad for them either.

Elias came and spent the weekend with us...we had so much fun!  Here we are dyeing Easter eggs.  We actually decided to open them and eat them instead.  Let's just say they weren't filled with what we were expecting.
Here we are dining al fresco.  It was a beautiful evening, and I think Mom was ready to not sweep the kitchen floor again.

Now that it's warmer, we are outside a lot.  It's my happy place.  In fact, if I haven't gotten to go outside yet, I'll open the lock on the sliding glass door and let myself out while Mom is going to the bathroom.  That one gets me a time-out.

 Helping Daddy spread mulch...
I'm sure you can picture how much of a help I am.
My cousin Regan and Aunt Lori came all the way from California to visit with us!  We had so much fun!  My Mom calls Aunt Lori, "Lo" so I called her "Yo."  I have trouble with Ls.  Here I am with Regan, playing with my awesome blocks.

We all got together to have Mexican food and laugh our bottoms off.  It was great.  Here's Aunt Wubby, Aunt Yo, Yayas and Whit.
Don't worry.  It's a fake candle.  Cousin Regan is awesome with kids.

Thank you for visiting, Aunt Lo and Reges!  It was such a special time...we'll never forget it!  (And we hope you're having an awesome wedding weekend!  Welcome to the family, Tracey!)

This is Whit on draft day.  We're really hoping RG3 is worth the farm the Redskins sold to get him.  Or was it Dan Snyder's soul to the devil?  We'll see in September!  :)
