June 2013

Hey everyone!  Here's Whit showing off his fantastic physique...
Here we are at a family reunion with Aunt Donna:
We took a trip to Ohio with Aunt Ali, Elias and Lincoln.  We rented a swagger-wagon with a DVD player, and we had a blast watching Thomas the whole way.  I don't think that Mommy and Aunt Ali enjoyed the videos quite as much as we did, but they did enjoy the lack of screaming.

Here's Whit snuggling Muzzy.  It's actually embarrassing how many people have asked if Muzzy was ok after holding him in this position for an hour.

Here's Lincoln with PopPop...this is the first time they met!
Elias and I commandeered Pop's walker and had a blast running it around the house!
 One big, happy family.

We stayed with Grandma Deana and Pa at their new house.  We loved it because they had a big back yard where we ran around.  In this picture, Elias is holding a hose nozzle, using it as a gun, because we're hunting in the jungle.  That's right.  We were hunting for bears.  In the jungle.  We're 3, ok?
Here's Grandma Deana showing us a lighting bug.  They are so cool.
Here we are with Grandma Deana, looking for lightning bugs.  Mommy and Aunt Ali call Grandma Deana the toddler whisperer.

Pa was hunting another kind of wild animal here...a Lincoln.
This is a little blurry, but is very telling...we were on the go the whole time we were there!
My turn to be the lead hunter.

Did you know that the Columbus Zoo edged out San Diego this year for the #1 in the country?  Oh yeah.  And it was awesome.  Here I am tackling a bear.
I don't know if you can tell, but Elias is yelling, "Rawr!"
 Cousins.
Mom tried to keep Whit contained in the Ergo as long as she could, but eventually she had to let him out.  It was too exciting.
Here we are with Pa, looking in the Polar Bear tank.

Here's the Polar Bear play park.  We got to blow off some steam.
Whit ran into an igloo.  Good thing Pa knows how to take care of such injuries.
 Whit's turn on the bear!
Here are the boys following Pa (the Pied Piper) around the zoo.  And there's Aunt Whitney leading...she knows the zoo like the back of her hand.  Aunt Whitney was is so awesome.  She took time off of work to play with us.  She jumped right in to the craziness without hesitation, despite the fact that we kicked her out of her room for our visit.  Thank you, Aunt Whitney!

Lincoln developed a new love for the Ergo this trip...and so did Aunt Ali.
Elias' monkey back pack was a hit.
Whit and Whit!  That never gets old.

 Taming a hammerhead shark:
The aquarium was a nice break from the heat, and we loved all the beautiful tropical fish.

Pa had some sparklers for us...we didn't get to stay for Columbus' "Red White and Boom," (the fireworks show) so we made our own.  Don't worry.  No babies were hurt during the filming of this movie.  :)

Whit didn't get to hold any.  Maybe next year, little brother.
 Making cookies with Grandma Deana:
 Whit and Lincoln eating puffs:

Did I mention the giant drive-able firetruck?  It was love at first sight.  It was the favorite toy of the trip.  Pa said something about needing 3 more.  I hope they're there the next time we go.
Look at that sweet face.  Soon he'll be able to terrorize like the big boys.
 Riding on the walker again:
It was so fun to see our family.  Can't wait to go back soon!  Love you guys!
